Sarah and Marcelo
Why has it taken me so long to post about this sweet pair?
Perhaps it's because I spend about 95% of my time talking to a two-year-old about trucks (Monster trucks! Fire trucks! Garbage trucks! The possibilities are endless!) Perhaps it's because I find myself up to my elbows in drink menus every night at Mellow Mushroom, or perhaps it's because I'm doing my best (key word: best) to be a responsible adult and fulfill my day-to-day duties like my mother always hoped I would. Adulting some tricky business y'all.
But perhaps (and most likely the case), it is because, thanks in part to all the aforementioned activities, it simply slipped my mind. But here I finally am, posting about two of the most beautiful people I've yet to come across (and of course I mean that both literally and figuratively, because I mean, just look at them!)
Sarah was one of my first and easiest friendships at college, happening as if by fate when we were matched as pickleball partners in a freshman colloquium class; we bonded over our mutual inability to play the bizarre sport (which for those wondering can be best described as a mix between tennis and ping pong) and I think from then on we both knew we had a little something special. So when Sarah asked me to take some photos of her and her boyfriend Marcelo, you could say I was pretty excited to snap some pictures of these two cutie pies, and I sure hope you like the results!
Sarah is one of the strongest ladies I've ever met, her determination and drive apparent in everything she does. I don't know if I've ever met anyone who cares for those she loves quite like Sarah does--her dedication to taking care of her friends is steadily apparent ("Virginia, get some rest for goodness sake!") and her smile is enough to make anyone's day a little brighter. She's the kind of person you can talk to about anything because you know they're truly listening, and thanks to her love of Chipotle we got to share in a lot of these conversations over chips and guac, a mark of true friendship if you ask me.
Marcelo is intelligent, kind, and thoughtful, but with a silly side that seems to come out every time Sarah smiles at him. He's the kind of guy who will build a 3D printer by morning (and yes, you read that right) and learn a complicated riff on the guitar by night. His brilliance is apparent, but his goodness perhaps even more so, as his smile is never short of true and genuine happiness for those around him. Perhaps most apparent, however, is his love for Sarah, which is unbelievable, and I'm sure anyone who walks within 1,000 feet of them can feel it. Major props to Marcelo for being a willing participant in this shoot--you should have seen his posing by the end of it! This guy knows how to smize ;)
